Cross-Border Disputes
CBC serves as advocates for companies involved litigation and arbitration matters throughout the world. We are particularly experienced in managing disputes between Asian clients and Western companies. We take on all cases with the goal of winning. We coordinate with clients to develop the best strategy to achieve that goal, but we will also keep alert for opportunities to settle cases favorably.  Our Managing Partner, Michael Vella, has unique expertise in cross-border disputes from working and living in China for over a decade.  Mr. Vella is also on the list of arbitrators for the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and is available to serve on arbitration panels.

Global Compliance
We help clients understand and comply with regulations affecting international business operations. Our team has experience both as outside counsel and in-house counsel helping companies manage internal and government investigations. Our team is particularly familiar with the compliance challenges encountered by companies with operations in the United States and China.  We also help clients establish and implement compliance policies and conduct compliance training for employees in their various global offices.  Finally, we counsel clients on compliance with various compliance regimes, such as export regulations, sanctions laws, anti-bribery laws, CFIUS, US securities law and other compliance regimes.
