Charles serves as a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an advising expert at Alumni Ventures Group, and at Health Engine at UC Berkeley. He is a frequent speaker at prestigious events, including the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights Expert Workshop, the World Blockchain Summit, GenAI Summit San Francisco, Berkeley China Summit, and the IEEE Metaverse Congress. His writings have garnered recognition across China, the United States, Japan, and Norway, and his expertise has been recognized by Forbes, Financial Times, and TEDx. In 2021, Charles was elected as one of the Forbes 60 Outstanding Chinese in North America.
Prior to CBC Law, Charles held key roles in the corporate and legal sectors. He served as a Partner at Amino Capital, where he played pivotal roles in over 100 venture capital financing deals across diverse industries, including TMT, healthcare, AI, and blockchain. He oversaw the firm's global legal affairs, including fund formation, fund management, deal structuring, investment negotiation, investor relations, board advising, and exit strategies. He has also served as a Researcher at the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, a PILnet Fellow at Columbia Law School, and a Program Director at Wuhan University PIDLI, where he managed legal projects sponsored by the UNDP, the U.S. Department of State, and the Ford Foundation.
